Thank you for your feedback, the consultation for this policy has now closed.
Overview This consultation is for Waltham Forest Council tenants, leaseholders and shared owners, living in Council managed properties, about the service they receive in relation to damp and mould. A separate consultation will be carried out on the Council’s proposals for managing damp and mould in Temporary Accommodation. We know that damp and mould issues in the home can seriously impact residents’ health, well-being and the condition of their homes. We are committed to improving our damp and mould service for our tenants and leaseholders and are proposing a new Damp and Mould Policy that we would like to hear your views on.
The Damp and Mould policy outlines:
the different types of damp that can be found in the home.
our commitments including target timescales for investigating the cause and completing works
how we will support residents (including vulnerable residents)
how to report damp and mould
how we will monitor performance
Damp and mould issues can affect anyone’s home. We would therefore greatly appreciate it if you could take a few moments to read the policy and complete our consultation survey as your input and insights are valuable in shaping the policy.
Please do not use this form to report damp and mould issues. If you are a Council tenant, leaseholder or shared owner and want to report a damp or mould issue, please complete our online e-form or call our Resolution Centre on 0208 496 4197.
Before completing the survey, please read the draft Damp and Mould Policy.
Consultation Resident consultation will take place between Thursday 10 October 2024 and Monday 11 November 2024.
