Your data for this project is managed by a small team at Waltham Forest Council. Your name and email address will be kept with your response so that we can analyse the results across all of the six SPD consultations that are taking place. We are obliged under UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) to only use your data for legitimate interest. In this instance, this is for data analysis purposes and for future correspondence purposes if you request this using the checkbox to be added to the mailing list. This future correspondence would be to notify you about future planning policy and planning guidance events and publications. If you check ‘yes’ to being added to our mailing list, your name and email address will be transferred to our consultation database which is managed using consultation software Objective Keystone.

Personal data will be kept for the duration of the process of producing the SPDs, which may take several years. Once the SPDs have been adopted, we will consider the need to retain your information and may contact you to check the details we hold are up to date and that you still want us to retain this. Your identifiable information will not be given to third parties without your explicit permission. We understand that there may be reasons why you may not wish to answer any questions, and therefore have included a ‘prefer not to say’ option for each question.   

Some of this anonymised information will be shared with the Department for Levelling Up Housing and Communities who are funding this engagement portal for reporting purposes.
