Community Bat Surveys

Dates: Fridays – 4, 11, 18, and 25 September
Locations: Lloyd Park, Pimp Hall, Leyton Jubilee Park, Langthorne Park

Join us for a series of evening bat surveys across local parks. You’ll help gather valuable data on bat activity while learning from experienced facilitators.

Please note: While bats have been recorded in these locations previously, sightings are not guaranteed. These sessions are designed as surveys to help identify which species may be present.

Date: Monday 30 March
An online session exploring how to support bees and other pollinators, with practical planting tips for gardens, balconies, and community spaces.


Bee ID Training Session and Walk

Date: Friday 10 April
Location: OrganicLea, Hawkwood Nursery
Participants learned how to identify bee species with experts from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, followed by a guided walk around the site.


Bee Walk at Our Pasture Community Garden

Date: 27 April
A relaxed guided walk led by local expert Tony Madgwick, introducing participants to the diversity of bee species in Leytonstone.


Bee ID Walk

Date: Saturday 30 May
Location: Queens Road Cemetery
A hands-on identification walk where participants learned to recognise different bee species in an urban green space.
