Aldriche Way Pedestrian Link: 12 month trial

Aldriche Way Pedestrian Link Project

In response to feedback received, we are proposing a 12 month trial of the new Aldriche Way pedestrian link.

We initially consulted the community on this project in September 2025 and undertook additional resident consultation in February 2026.

The current proposal responds to community feedback on the potential impacts of opening this path by proposing a 12 month period of monitoring and assessment.

The Aldriche Way Pedestrian Link Project will create a pedestrian connection between the Aldriche Way Estate and Celebration Way, plus Rolls Park, Selwyn Primary School, Tesco, Highams Park Overground station and Highams Park town centre.

Benefits include:

1 New pedestrian link

Pedestrian link between Aldriche Way and Celebration Way

2 CCTV implementation

Additional CCTV cameras to make the area safer

3 Lighting

New lighting to improve safety across the new route

4 Greening

Permeable pavement and attractive planting
