Funding for community-led cultural and creative programmes
The Fellowship Fund supports community-led cultural and creative programmes which celebrate our diverse but shared histories, experiences and futures.
Grants will be awarded to Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations and groups for activities taking place in Waltham Forest from May 2026 to March 2027. The scheme aims to support community cohesion across the borough.
There are two types of funding that Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and groups can apply for under the Fellowship Fund.
Collaboration Grants of up to £9,500 for a group of 4 to 6 organisations and community groups to work collaboratively to develop and deliver a cultural programme
Development Grants of up to £2,000 for organisations and community groups to research and develop new collaborative programmes
The Fellowship Fund 2026 will support programmes that mark moments our communities celebrate which include, but are not limited to:
South Asian led moments such as South Asian Heritage Month
Black led moments such as Black History Month, Windrush Day
Cultural celebrations led by communities present in the borough
LGBT+ led moments such as Pride
Faith and interfaith celebrations and festivals
Intercultural celebrations such as Mayor of London Community Weekend and Mental Health Awareness Month
We welcome approaches that expand programme beyond individual dates, for example, year-round approaches to programming.
Applications will open on 2 March. The deadline for applications is 10 April at 11.00pm.

Hi everyone, We have developed the StoryArt Club, a free summer holiday programme for children aged 5–12 (target 7–9), combining interactive storytelling, creative arts (art, music, drama, writing), and play. The programme creates a fun, inclusive space where children can build confidence, creativity, and social connections.
Following a successful pilot last year, we are now looking to Connect and Collaborate with any Local groups and Organisations interested in supporting children’s activities. This could be: Local schools or venues (classroom/play space access), Community organisations & charities working with families, Artists, facilitators, and creatives (arts, music, drama).
Themes We Align With: Inclusive & accessible play provision, Creative learning & arts engagement, Storytelling & literacy development, Cultural diversity & world folktales, Community connection & wellbeing, Child-led and participatory experiences.
While the current Fellowship Fund deadline is in a few days, we’re keen to start building connections now in preparation for future delivery, including next year’s programme.
