Langthorne Park is an important and well-loved neighbourhood park at the heart of South Leytonstone.
During the South Leytonstone Area Framework engagement events and Langthorne Festival you told us that you would like to see improvements to Langthorne Park to make it safer, celebrate its natural spaces, and offer more community activities.
We have taken your ideas on board and commissioned Jonathan Cook Landscape Architects to help us draw up a vision and a suite of potential projects for the park.
We want to hear from you
We’ve started to develop some early ideas, and we want to know what you think about them!
Your feedback as part of this first stage of engagement will help us to develop these ideas further. These ideas are subject to funding, but there will be future opportunities to get involved as the project progresses.
We’ve also already started to invite other local community organisations to have their say and are also engaging with young people through workshop sessions with the local youth group, schools, and peer-to-peer street surveys.
Click 'Survey' at the end of this page to share your feedback with us. You can request a hard copy by using the contact details below.
Come to a drop-in event to talk to members of the team:
Saturday 28 September between 2.30pm and 4.30pm in Langthorne Park outside Leytonstone Toy Library and Play Centre in Langthorne Park (Birch Grove, London, E11 4JT).
We also want to hear about any projects or activities people are involved with locally and explore opportunities for support and collaboration. We are particularly keen on hearing from local youth groups, sports clubs and garden enthusiasts who are interested in volunteering opportunities or organising activities in the park. If there is a project or something you're working on which you'd like to let us know about, please contact us by e-mailing: regeneration@walthamforest.gov.uk
