December 2024 update

New trees being planted in the square outside of The Clock Café at Markhouse Corner

We are pleased to let you know that the works to deliver improvements at Markhouse Corner are nearly complete!

Our team have been working hard over the past few weeks to install new plants at Barker House and the square outside of The Clock Café. We’ve planted three new trees next to the clock, using an innovative technique to create the best conditions for them to grow.

We have also been making the final touches to the rain gardens next to the cycle lane on Church Road, and outside of Potters House on Lea Bridge Road.

The newly repaved area outside of The Clock Café will open up to the public before Christmas. New lights, including new lamp columns and decorative lighting around the trees in the square, will be installed in the new year. Access is not expected to be restricted whilst the installation takes place, and we will continue to keep businesses and residents informed.
